The Classic Holidays National Kiteboarding League (NKL) is set to make a big return in 2016 for its second year with bigger airs, bigger prize money and bigger opportunities.
With a $10,000 prize pool up for grabs, the 6-Round NKL Series will head across the country between November 2016 and February 2017 in search of Australia and New Zealand’s best male and female freestyle kiteboarders.
Commencing with Round 1 on the Gold Coast on 18 November, the series will then travel to Perth, Christchurch, Sydney and Melbourne before returning to the Gold Coast for the Grand Final in February.
New to the 2016/17 season, the Royal Brighton Yacht Club will host KiteFoil and Twin Tip racing during the Melbourne round in January 2017. Foil boarding is fast becoming the latest craze to hit the watersport world, and its inclusion in the 2018 Youth Olympics is expected to catapult this exciting form of the sport to new heights.
SHQ have a limited number of NeilPryde CR:X kits available that can be chartered for the event. Includes foil and twin tip mode and three kites. For more information – click here
