Forthcoming Cruising Events

Hi Cruisers,

The New Year has arrived with many cruisers appreciating the siting of the marina attenuator for a great view of the Melbourne skyline that was lit up with a magnificent display of fireworks to usher in the new year.

Some cruisers have been able to get away on their boats exploring Port Phillip Bay or further afield.

We now turn our attention to our forthcoming events and hope you have put them in your diary to attend.

Birthday Cruise Sunday January 20th

A cruise to RYCV at Williamstown for lunch. Boats leaving RBYC at around 10am. BYO everything BBQ lunch, organise a picnic lunch or order off the menu at their bar. There are BBQ’s, tables and chairs on their shaded deck that we can use.

Please advise Robina Smith [email protected]  if you are planning to attend so we have some idea of berthing requirements.

There is some availability for boatless people so let me know and I can see what can be arranged.

Boats attending may even get a cruising flag (they just have to get made!) – if you have not already received one and do not have one to fly. Our cruising flag is the ‘C’ signal flag flown from the backstay to indicate our class/group. It is our tradition to fly this on Cruising Group activities.

In the event of bad weather we will cruise over the Westgate Bridge by car.
