Sunny twilight evening!

After a stretch of cold days, our luck finally turned for last Wednesday’s Hearnes Heroes and Brighton Land Rover Twilight Series. The sun stayed out all day and into the evening with a steady 15 knot Southerly breeze.

In Race 10 of the Hearnes Heroes Pursuit series, It was a pair of wins for Grant Dunoon’s The boat took the advantage of the steady breeze and calm waters to take the victory to go with his fleet victory last Wednesday. BKT Jamhu came home in second about 7 minutes behind, with Instant Karma  another 30 seconds back in third. With one race to go in the series, Pizazzz leads all comers ahead of BKT JAMHU and True Colours.

In the Brighton Land Rover Twilight Fleet race, five boats made their way around the track with the Beneteau First 40 Cartouche the fastest and taking line honors. The winner on corrected time however was Brian Slater skippering Redline, just over 40 seconds ahead of  Ted Masur’s Pizazzz and Fahey’s Cartouche. With the victory, Redline have leapfrogged the rest into the series lead, ahead of Presto and Cartouche.

The Brighton Land Rover Pursuit race saw a repeat of last week with Eddie Mutto’s Defiance once again taking the Line honors victory. There was a duel for second place with Paul Digney & Shaun Harris’ Red Rocks beating out  Chris Arnold & Patrick Archers Nothing Too SeriousIn the series scores Defiance holds a lead ahead of Neil Sargeant’s Mersea, with Geoff Adams’ True Colours 3rd overall.
