RBYC Racing Results

The Cerberus race was well supported with 22 entrants. The race was started with a pleasant 10 to 12 knots from the south west and with a downwind start many elected to fly spinnakers to the no 5 buoy. Some competitor had some issues taking down there spinnakers and one boat looked took so long taking it down that we wondered if they were doing the laundry. The rest of the fleet hardened up on to the wind and where able to lay R2. It was back up with the spinnakers for the run down to 77 and a tight reach to the finish at Royals. Line honours was won by Rory Thomas on Reckless followed by Clipper 3 and the last boat finished just before 12 o’clock.

The Performance handicap was won by Gary Davidson on Clipper 3 with Rob Hurrell in Sweet Dreams in second and Peter Johns in Farr Fetched in third. Click here for full results.

By the time we had moored at Royals the weather had improved and a great time was had by all.
