RBYC Sabots dominant at Lidgett Cup last weekend!
The Lidgett Cup is regarded as a key event in the junior sailing calendar on Port Philip Bay with over 140 Sabots, Minnows and Optimists competing in Senior, Intermediate and Novice levels at Davies Bay Yacht Club last weekend.
The success and progress of RBYC junior sail training program was clearly demonstrated in each division with our sailors posting the following results:-
· Senior Sabot: 2nd Mitch Fisher, 3rd Tom Fisher ( RBYC took 4 of the top 5 positions)
· Intermediate Sabot: 1st George Walch, 2nd Kierin East, 3rd Joshua Brooks-Duncan
· Novice Sabot: 1st Kate Dunoon, B Division and 5th overall for novice division – well done!!!
A team of 10 positive and motivated Sabot Sailors are looking forward to contesting the State Titles at Sorrento next weekend.
