CREWING ON KEELBOATS

While you may not know much about sailing, owners are usually happy to help you learn if you can turn up each week, or at least give notice of your availability. Serious racing takes place on Saturday afternoon either on our centre course or off the tower. Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday night races a are a great way to get onto a boat and become a regular member of the crew.

WEDNESDAY AFTERNOONS – Hearnes Heroes

The club has Wednesday afternoon racing all year round. Hearnes Heroes races are an excellent way for novices to do some introductory sailing. Call the sailing office for information.

TWILIGHT RACING – WEDNESDAYS AFTER WORK

Twilight racing is held on Wednesday evenings during daylight saving time.  The races start at 6:15 pm and takes about an hour and a half’ most people have dinner in the clubhouse afterwards. Twilight racing is great for beginners because the races are shorter and often less serious than the Saturday or Sunday competition.   Ring 9592 3092 or email sailing@rbyc.org.au for more information.
