Brighton School Holiday Sailing Programs
There are a number of courses being run in the school holidays for adventurous sailors in our friendly and safe environment. Sailing offers an exhilarating experience in the outdoors for all ages. Safety is a priority at all times and we make sure every participant has a fun time!
You don’t need to be a member to become involved and a discover sailing course is a great way to get into the sport. All courses are run by accredited instructors and include access to great facilities off the water.
April School Holiday Programs
Kids under 12:
For junior participants (12 and under) we have our Tackers courses.
Our courses are being run in week two of the school holidays from Monday – Thursday, 9am to 2pm.
After completing Tackers 1&2 at minimum, all students will then be eligible to apply to join our Junior program (<12) or our Youth program (>12) in October. Alternatively, they may continue with Tackers 3 or go further with our intensive winter sessions.
To find out more about the Tackers program click here. The courses cost $300 for non-members and $270 for members. Members are asked to book below and pay through their member account.
Continuing Tackers sailors:
Already completed Tackers 1 or even Tackers 2? Taking the next Tackers course will help confident sailors to continue, otherwise completing the same course again can really boost a sailors confidence!
It is important to note that all courses require a minimum number of participants to run and that we will do our best to make sure all courses run. In the event that a course does not run, we will let you know as early as possible and reschedule you into another course.
Teens 12 and up:
Teens are invited to join us for a 4 day course in 2 person dinghies – Pacers. The course will allow youth to learn along side people their own age in a fun and friendly environment.
The course will run from 9am – 12pm Monday 10th – Thursday 13th April. This is the Start Sailing 1 Course. It is a fun, safe introduction to the basics of sailing. For students that would like to continue we have short, 4 week courses running on Sunday mornings. For more information about these courses see our winter courses here.
The four day courses include registration fees as well as insurance, boat hire, life jacket hire and qualified instructors. The cost for non-members is $240 and members cost is $180.
