The International dragon Class are the largest one design keelboat fleet in the world and with the worlds scheduled for RBYC in January 2011 interest is growing
4 dragons from the RBYC fleet of 6 boats are competing a better class representation in percentage terms than any other Brighton fleet, attending were
Amazing Grace - Charles Stanton
Beverley2 - Don Blanksby
Waliki - Andrew Merrett
Tarakona - Hugh Howard
 
The representatives are from
Russia - 2 boats
New Zealand - 1 boat
UK - 1 boat
WA 4 boats
Vic 4 boats
Tas 2 boats
with the remainder from New south Wales
 
CARNAGE AT THE DRAGON PRINCE PHILLIP CUP REGATTA
The close racing with 25 yachts competing on tight courses with crowded starts has resulted in the following damage
2 broken masts
2 bent masts
1 broken boom
2 ripped mainsails
1 dragon sunk in 30 metres of water
1 broken wrist
1 knee construction
 
We are glad it is considered a gentleman's boat
