A lively Wednesday at RBYC

A hot and sunny day brought a lively Northerly breeze which bounced between 15 and 20 knots throughout the day, providing challenging but enjoyable conditions for the afternoon and evening of sailing at RBYC this Wednesday.

In the Hearne’s Heroes Pursuit Race, Brian Slater’s Redline finished more than a three minutes ahead of Clipper III owner Gary Davison. These two boats are also fighting at the top of the overall leader board. After 5 races, Redline is one point ahead of Clipper III.

The breeze never left the North, filling back in for the start of the twilight’s.  Marg Neeson’s Wild Child was first on corrected time in the Twilight Fleet race, beating Chris Bland’s Pornstar by 16 seconds.  Redline was third.  Marg Neeson’s Wild Child leads the series after 8 races with Presto slipping to 3rd, two points behind Pornstar.

In the Twilight Pusuit, Nothing Too Serious (Chris Arnold) returned and crossed the line first, ahead of Another Dimension and Republica.  Ignazio Parolini’s Republica jumped out ahead of the fleet after his third place finish, now nine points ahead of Caledonia in the series..
